About realbuzz
realbuzz is the home of charity running. For more than 20 years, the business has connected charities with runners and the events they want to be part of — from 10Ks to some of the world's biggest marathons.
As the world's leading provider of charity running programmes, realbuzz has helped facilitate more than £1bn in fundraising for its charity partners. Its mission is to make charity running more accessible worldwide, so more people can make their miles mean more.
The opportunity
realbuzz is looking for a commercially minded Affiliate & Partnerships Manager to help build and grow a brand-new CPA-based rewards programme for its community of runners.
This is much more than a traditional affiliate account management role.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help build a new revenue stream from the ground up — recruiting affiliate partners, developing exclusive offers, driving tenancy revenue and creating wider commercial and sponsorship opportunities with brands across running, fitness, health and active lifestyle.
They'll be joining a growing organisation where they'll have genuine scope to shape the proposition and how it develops.
What they'll be doing
- Building and managing a CPA-based affiliate rewards programme aimed at runners and active lifestyle consumers.
- Identifying, recruiting and developing relationships with relevant affiliate and commercial partners.
- Developing strategies to maximise affiliate performance and ROI.
- Negotiating compelling and exclusive offers for the realbuzz community.
- Identifying and developing tenancy and other monetisation opportunities across realbuzz's website, marketing channels and event partner inventory.
- Working with the wider marketing team to develop sponsorship propositions.
- Supporting sponsorship acquisition, including pitching and securing partnerships with relevant brands.
- Monitoring, analysing and reporting on affiliate and partnership performance.
- Keeping on top of developments in affiliate marketing, performance marketing and relevant technology.
- Attending selected realbuzz event activations, which may occasionally involve international travel.
About the candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years' experience in affiliate marketing, ideally within a publisher, agency or affiliate network.
- Strong commercial instincts and an appetite for developing new revenue opportunities.
- Experience building and managing relationships with advertisers, publishers or commercial partners.
- Knowledge of affiliate platforms and tracking technologies such as Impact, Partnerize or Awin.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- The confidence to work autonomously and turn ideas into commercial activity.
- A hands-on, entrepreneurial approach.
An interest in running, fitness or the active lifestyle sector would be a major advantage.
Why join realbuzz?
Alongside the opportunity to help shape an exciting new commercial proposition, benefits include:
- Hybrid working from realbuzz's Manchester Piccadilly office.
- 22 days' holiday, plus a day off for their birthday and bank holidays.
- Additional holiday opportunities through attendance and length of service schemes.
- Company stakeholder pension scheme.
- Gym membership subsidy.
- Group Life Assurance and Group Income Protection after the qualifying period.
- Opportunities for race entry at selected major destination running events.
For an affiliate marketer who likes the idea of building something rather than simply inheriting an existing programme, this is an opportunity to take ownership of a developing revenue stream and play a significant role in shaping its future.
realbuzz is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
